WITT presents a specialized range of gas mixers for use in laser cutting systems

The perfect cut

WITT presents a specialized range of gas mixers for use in laser cutting systems. Cutting gases are vital for achieving maximum precision and efficiency in the cutting process. By using gas mixtures instead of individual gases, both cutting speed and quality can be significantly improved. WITT’s gas mixers reliably guarantee the high-quality gas mixtures essential for optimal cutting results.

Gas mixtures for superior cutting results

Nitrogen and oxygen each offer specific advantages as individual cutting gases, but a combination of the two combines the best properties of both gases. Especially when cutting medium to thick sheets, a nitrogen-oxygen mixture enables fast cuts that are virtually free of oxide and burrs. This minimizes the need for reworking, which significantly reduces production costs.

High-precision gas mixers for fiber laser cutting systems

WITT’s gas mixers ensure consistently high-quality mixtures and are designed to handle the high gas pressures required. Even slight deviations in the mixing ratio can disrupt the cutting process and cause stoppages. These tried-and-tested gas mixers deliver the precise, high-quality gas mixtures crucial for laser cutting systems.

The laser model range includes gas mixers with a maximum output of 438 Nm³/h and an inlet pressure of up to 40 bar. The gas mixture is generated via a proportional mixing valve, operated either mechanically or electrically, depending on the model. Thanks to integrated equal-pressure control, the gas supply remains stable even with fluctuating inlet pressures.

Effortless operation—on-site or remotely

WITT gas mixers are designed to be incredibly user-friendly. Depending on the model, the gas mixture can be continuously adjusted via a rotary knob or a touch-screen display, with no special training required. Models with an electric mixing valve also offer remote control options, making them easy to integrate into laser cutting control systems.

Maximum process reliability

Numerous safety systems are integrated to ensure smooth operation, such as inlet pressure monitoring and optional O2 content measurement. For added assurance, the gas supply temperature can also be monitored by transmitters. If deviations from the target state occur, visual and audible alarms are triggered. In critical cases, the system automatically shuts down to prevent production stoppages and rejects. The optional AM3 alarm module provides a digital pressure display along with features like mandatory alarm acknowledgement and event logging with time stamps. The robust, splash-proof stainless steel housing ensures long-term durability even in harsh industrial environments.
