Voss Industries of Taylor, Michigan has recently purchased a AGT High-Precision Width Gauge. This gauge will be installed onto their 72" custom pickling line, measuring various steel alloys. The AGT Width Gauge will provide Voss with accurate real-time readings and graphical representation of both coil width and centerline deviation. This information can then communicate with a level 2 system to load jobs, limits, and retrieve data.
AGT's High-Precision lasers are able to measure material as accurately as ±0.005". Additionally, compared to obsolete width gauges, AGT's laser gauge does not require emitters, reflectors, or backlights. AGT's Width Gauge also can be installed either freestanding on the floor, or built onto existing support structures, requiring minimal space for installation. With this purchase, Voss Taylor has invested in accuracy, reliability, and productivity.
