Small-To-Large-Part Modular Laser Cutting. High Production Agility

Tecoi USA’s new modular LS COV Laser Cutting Machine incorporates a gantry that can move the closure independently without having to shift the enclosure. Manufacturers and fabricators have to ability to process small to extra-large parts with high production agility on the same machine having a small footprint–enhancing productivity, efficiency and operational safety, while optimizing performance. With Tecoi’s unique Dual Fiber Process (DFP) and Twin Disk, beam split, productivity is doubled. The LS COV easily handles material lengths up to 210 feet.

The LS COV has a variety of unique operating features, including IMZ®, an intelligent movement Z-axis system that reduces the time of the cutting process by up to 30%, while allowing faster and more accurate positioning of the head in the Z-axis. The IMZ® system can increase productivity by up to 70% in-between piercings. SAC® L is a three-dimensional anti-collision system with automatic high-speed resets that provide plasma, oxyfuel and laser torches with increased safety, while guaranteeing accurate positioning during straight and bevel cutting operations. SPC®, Tecoi’s controlled piercing system increases the LS COV’s plasma, oxyfuel and laser piercing capacity, effectively raising the maximum cutting thickness and lifespan of consumables by up to 25% and 30% respectively. And finally, CISCAD®, a proprietary cutting software developed by Tecoi, is designed to work seamlessly with plasma, oxyfuel, and laser processes.

The LS COV Laser Cutting Machine is customizable. It can be easily configured for straight cutting, bevel cutting, and machining, depending on production requirements, with the option of one or two cutting heads. With format versatility, it can easily cut smaller parts to large workpieces within the same single station, switching operating modes on-the-fly depending on the production type. With parallel operation capability, the LS COV provides non-stop production. One area can be cutting and unloading, while material is being prepared in another area, reducing downtime.
