Red Dot Products, a metal building products supplier, has ordered a Red Bud Industries Light Gauge Slitting Line for its Ephrata, Pennsylvania, location. The line is rated for up to 0.024” (.61 mm) in thickness by 48” (1.2 mm) width with 15,000 lb. (6800 kg) coil capacity.
The Slitting Line is equipped with a Packed Arbor Slitting Head, Four Arm Tooling Turnstile, and Quick Change Divider Tooling for efficient setup changes. Edge trim scrap will be safely collected by a Scrap Winder that empties with a push of a button and an exit Shear provides the opportunity for the line to be started quickly after a coil is broken for weight or linear footage. Productivity will be monitored via Time Tracker.
