Lebronze alloys (LBA), Paris, has acquired Manufacture pour l’Extrusion d’Alliages (MEA), a French leader in copper and copper alloys profile extrusion with over 30 years of expertise. MEA becomes LBA’s fourth deal in a year, as the Group pursues its acquisition strategy.
LBA supplies specialty copper and nickel alloys, each with specific properties (thermal resistance, ability to withstand friction, conductivity, etc.) that go into critical components in a large variety of systems and end-markets – including aerospace, medical devices, energy, electronics, and luxury – serving over 1000 customers worldwide.
Founded in 1984 in Alfortville, MEA specializes in the hot and cold forming of complex copper and copper alloys profiles. Relocated to Haute-Marne in 1996, the company has continually invested in modern presses and equipment to manufacture precise, and custom-designed bars, rods, tubes, and profiles. MEA serves demanding industries including aerospace, luxury, construction, and electronics, providing both standard and tailor-made solutions.
Marie de Saint Salvy, CEO, Lebronze alloys, declared: “MEA strengthens LBA with its leading expertise in precision profile extrusion. This advanced technology allows us to significantly reduce material consumption compared to traditional ‘machining from the bar’ methods, while delivering exceptional technical performance for our customers.”
Furcy Langlois, CEO, MEA, added: “By joining LBA, we can deliver even greater value to our customers, combining MEA’s expertise with the resources of a global leader”.
