Ideal Roofing Company Limited Manufacturers Installs a Red Bud Industries Multi-Cut Blanking Line

 

Ideal Roofing Company, an industry leader in manufacturing steel roofing and siding products, recently installed a Red Bud Industries Precision Multi-Cut Blanking Line. It complements a Multi-Blanking Line and a Slitter that were previously purchased from Red Bud.  This one-of-a-kind machine takes automation and functionality to the next level, with features such as No Stop Threading, Automatic Part Tracking, Automatic Pallet Loading, an Automatic Sheet Holder for near non-stop continuous operation, and a Recoiler which allows the line to break down coils when not cutting-to-length.  

The new line can process Cold Roll Steel, Aluminum, Galvanized, and Pre-painted materials up to 0.061” (1.55 mm) and widths ranging up to 60” (1524 mm) at production speeds reaching 275 FPM (84 m/min). The No Stop Threading System automatically advances the material across the looping pit and into the Roll Feed. Identifying defects in material is key to reducing customer returns. By including the Automatic Part Tracking feature, the line automatically tracks and discards defective material. Once a defect has been identified, the machine will keep track of the imperfection, crop it out, and separate the material from the finished product. One of the biggest bottlenecks of any production line is material handling. An Automatic Sheet Holder keeps the steel moving by reducing line stoppage to as little as 6 seconds between skid changes. 

The new line consists of a Turnstile, Uncoiler, Peeler Breaker, Cropping Shear, Roller Leveler, Inspection Area with Automatic Part Tracking, Recoiler, Thread System with No Stop Threading, Servo Roll Feed, CNC Semi-Automatic Slitter, Scrap Winder, Prime Shear, Automatic Drop Stacker, Part Diverter System, Automatic Strip Stacker, Part Sorter, Stack Table, Automatic Sheet Holder, Pallet Injector, and Automatic End Discharge Conveyors.
