August 11, 2022- Alexander D’Alfonso, 67, died Aug. 3, at home in Burlington, Ontario. Sales director of coil processing systems for The Bradbury Group, D’Alfonso spent his entire career in the steel industry. He joined Stelco in 1975 for 10 years before moving to New Zealand Steel in 1986 as a hot strip mill electrical engineer. He returned to Canada in 1987 with Reliance Electric Co.; joined Pro-Eco (later part of SMS Demag) in 1991 as manager of Mexican and Latin American sales until 2003. D’Alfonso was sales vice president with Avon Engineering from 2003 to 2007, then joined The Bradbury Group as director of process lines and Latin American sales. He took the latest position in 2015. D’Alfonso is survived by his wife Angelica, six children and 12 grandchildren.
